THE BEATS BY DRE FEVER

There is a new craze in town that comes in the name of beats by Dre pills. They are the new definition of sophistication and every sober student in Moi University, and anybody who is anybody in the same institution is clamoring to get one. Beats pills have been around for a while, in songs of course, but this is the year that they have made such an impact in Moi University.
What worries most is how the owners of these beats pills walk with them in their pockets, with the volume on maximum. One would be forgiven to think they unplugged a speaker from one of their woofers and squeezed them into their pockets. They turn heads, and cause people to shake the same heads too.
It causes to wonder, what happened to people listening to music in the peace and quiet of their rooms? Back in those rooms, those who own woofers are giving the students in adjacent rooms recurrent seasons in hell. Now that the students have managed to find escape to the street and pathways of Moi University, the beat pills people have coined a way of bringing the noise in the open and ensuring minimum peace for everyone in their vicinity.

They’re all over Hostel K, L, M, J, and H. Even on the academic high way, folks walk with the pills in their back packs. War unto you if you happen to pass near them, you’ll wish you never came across them because you might get your ears damaged because of the high volume.
It’s no secret that comrades are thrilled by these boom-boxes, putting them at high volume for all to hear without bother what’s playing. Some don’t even know what’s playing. The pill would play reggae, hip hop, rnb, kwaitos, and even blues and the funny part is that they would sing along in chorus like a choir.
