I TOLD MY WIFE I DON’T WANT KIDS

We all know for a fact it’s everyone’s dream to have a child, someone to continue your bloodline. 

Apparently some people don’t want heirs and the thought of having children disturbs them.

Veteran Kenyan singer Lenson Njuki also known as Mr. Lenny, has revealed that he once told his wife that he does not want to have children. What exactly could be his reason behind such utterance?

In an exclusive interview with a journalist, Mr. Lenny explained that he grew up seeing his parents fight physically quite often and it affected him emotionally and psychologically.

Later on the parents separated when their differences proved irreconcilable. Unfortunately, he was still very young, and was not old enough to bear what was happening around him.

He said that when his parents separated it affected him very much. He further explained that no one wants to come from a broken family. Everyone wants to live in a household where there’s a father and a mother because it is important for the children, the two figures to be together.

Growing up seeing his parents fight wasn’t the best experience. There was a lot of shame him and his siblings would carry. He feared interacting with his friend because he thought he would mocked and laughed at, because of their parent’s situation.

It came to a point that he even prayed that his parents would separate because at that point the relationship was intoxicating. Even their neighbors knew exactly what was going on in their home.

This affected him to a point that he swore never to be a father.in fact all the women he ever met including his wife, he told them point blank that he never wants to have kids. He questioned his decision on having kids if he would probably end up like his father and mother. If things were like the way he grew up then he shouldn’t have any kids at all. If by chance the relationship won’t work the wife would leave him and the kids would suffer-something he cannot bear. That’s how he reached to his decision.

However, later on in life he change his perception about having kids. He met other people who mostly were in the same situation as his and even worse and they encouraged him. Mr. Lenny is now a proud father of two: a son (6) and a daughter (10 months-old).
